Sam Comeau

I've been practicing and teaching yoga for over 10 years and pilates for the last 5. My initial passion for human movement came from my years of training in athletics. It was an injury that led me to become a Yoga and Pilates Instructor. Yoga and Pilates helped heal my body and mind, testing my limits, the edges of my comfort zones and where I am stuck.

My favorite pose is sukhasana or ‘easy pose’. It's a humble posture but there is nothing easy about it. It's an exercise in maintaining good posture, core vitality and a lifted heart. A fundamental pose; a progression to many other postures. My classes are fun and accessible, with a constant reminder to never take oneself too seriously. There is never any pressure to perform, just show up.
